These terms govern your use of stepping.com.bd, the Speech AI platform, and any donation or purchase you make through them. By using the site, or by ticking the box at checkout, you agree to them, together with our Privacy Policy and Refund & Return Policy.

1. Who we are

Stepping is a Bangladeshi child-development organisation. Our registered office is at Plot-67, BNS Center, 7–9 Sector-07, Uttara, Dhaka-1230, Bangladesh. You can reach us at steppingbd@gmail.com or +880 1711-727096, Sunday–Thursday, 9am–6pm.

2. Terms of use

• You may read, share and quote this site with attribution to Stepping.
• You may not present our content as your own, scrape it at scale, or use it to imply that Stepping endorses a product, person or organisation.
• You may not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site or platform, or use it in a way that damages or impairs it for others.
• Where the platform gives you an account, you are responsible for keeping your login private and for everything done under it.

3. Terms of service — Speech AI

Speech AI produces a preliminary indication of communication-disorder risk, and supports a therapy plan set by a qualified clinician. It is decision-support for clinicians and guidance for families. It is not a diagnosis, it does not prescribe, and it does not replace medical advice. Always consult a qualified professional about your child's health. A parent or legal guardian must consent on a child's behalf before any screening is run.

Nothing on this site is for emergencies. If your child needs urgent medical attention, contact emergency services or go to a hospital.

4. Terms of sale and donations

• What you can pay for. Donations to Stepping's work, and, where offered, screening and therapy services. Every price and suggested amount is shown in Bangladeshi Taka (BDT) and includes any applicable VAT unless stated otherwise.
• Payment. Online payments are processed by shurjoPay, a payment gateway licensed by Bangladesh Bank. You may pay by bKash, Nagad, Rocket, other mobile wallets, and local or international debit and credit cards. We never see or store your full card number, PIN or wallet password, and we will never ask for them by phone, email or message.
• Confirmation and delivery. A payment is complete when the gateway confirms it. We email a receipt to the address you gave within 24 hours of a successful payment. Where a payment buys access to a service, access is provided within24 hours of confirmation, and an appointment time is confirmed with you by phone or email within 2 working days. Stepping sells no physical goods and ships nothing.
• Refunds. Refunds are handled under our Refund & Return Policy, which forms part of these terms.
• Failed or duplicate payments. If money leaves your account but we do not receive a confirmation, or you are charged twice, contact us with the transaction reference and we will trace it with the gateway and refund any duplicate.

5. Disclaimer

The site and platform are provided as they are. We source our figures and say where they come from; where a number is our own analysis rather than published research, the page says so. We do not guarantee that the site is error-free or always available, and we are not liable for loss arising from reliance on content that is not individual clinical advice. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under the law of Bangladesh.

6. General conditions of business

• All content, software, drawings and photographs on this site belong to Stepping or are used with permission, and are protected by copyright.
• We may update these terms. The date at the top is the date of the current version; continued use after a change means you accept it. Payments already made are governed by the terms in force when you paid.
• If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.

7. Legal notes

These terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, including the Digital Commerce Operation Guidelines 2021, and the courts of Dhaka have jurisdiction. Before going to court, please write to us: most problems are quicker to fix than to litigate.
